In 2014, we witnessed a historic moment of cross border compassion as a major food relief initiative for South Sudan was launched from Uganda. His Excellency President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni personally flagged off the convoy of trucks laden with essential food supplies, marking a significant commitment to supporting our neighbors during their time of need.
This landmark event represented more than just the delivery of food. it symbolized hope, regional solidarity, and our shared humanity. The President's participation underscored the importance of the biblical principle he echoed: "Love your neighbor as you love yourself."
The successful execution of this mission was made possible through the generous support of partners, business leaders, and well-wishers who responded to the call with open hearts. Together, we demonstrated that compassion knows no borders.
While this specific initiative took place in 2014, the spirit of generosity and neighborly love it represented continues to inspire our ongoing humanitarian work today. We remain committed to supporting food security and peace in South Sudan, trusting that our collective efforts contribute to a more stable and prosperous region.
