During the COVID-19 lockdown, when fear and restrictions gripped the nation, the Feeding Uganda Bucket Project delivered a powerful message of hope and practical care. Led by Robert Kayanja Ministries (RKM) under our Changing Lives initiative, this project became a critical lifeline for thousands of vulnerable families.
We recognized that the fight was two-fold: against the virus itself, and against the hunger that the lockdown caused. Each bucket was a comprehensive survival kit, carefully packed with:
Protection from the Virus: An anti-coronavirus pack containing two bottles of Dettol and four bars of soap to empower families to maintain hygiene.
Nutritious Food Staples: Sugar, cooking oil, salt, beans, and nutritious maize flour, among other items, to ensure they had wholesome nourishment during the crisis.
By distributing thousands of these buckets, we did more than just hand out supplies; we provided dignity, health, and a tangible expression of God's love at a time of great need. This project stood as a testament to our unwavering commitment to serve the most vulnerable, proving that even in lockdown, compassion knows no boundaries.
