Our mission is to provide humanitarian relief and promote sustainable development across Africa by responding to emergencies, empowering communities through agriculture, creating jobs, and offering education on modern farming. We are committed to transforming lives through compassion, innovation, and faith.
Pastor Robert Kayanja serves as the Chairman of Afri-Aid, the first international relief organization established to provide emergency aid to African nations. In 2015, Afri-Aid delivered 8,000 tons of food relief to famine-stricken South Sudan. The initiative was officially flagged off by President Yoweri Museveni and received by President Salva Kiir in Juba.
Through the Robert Kayanja Bucket Initiative, the ministry has provided essential food relief to vulnerable families in Uganda. During the COVID-19 pandemic, over 50,000 families in Kampala received support.
In 2022, the Bucket Initiative led a major food distribution program in the Karamoja region, responding to severe famine that had left thousands starving.
To ensure long-term food security, 2,000 acres of land in Karamoja have been cultivated using modern agricultural machinery, including tractors and combine harvesters.
Pastor Kayanja has created employment for hundreds of Karimojong youth, encouraging a shift from nomadic traditions to sustainable agriculture and empowering the community through meaningful work.
With determination and innovation, he has demonstrated that mechanized farming is possible even in semi-arid regions once considered unproductive. Successful harvests of sorghum, maize, and beans offer hope that Karamoja can one day feed Africa.
Pastor Kayanja was honored with the 2021 Vision Group Farmers Award for Gold Meadow Farm in Kiryandongo—one of Uganda’s leading modern model farms. The farm has played a key role in rehabilitating and skilling many former Kifeesi (street gang) youth.
He is the founder of Yeshua Life Ltd, overseeing:
